About Teach In Person
Teach In Person is a small, local board for people in DC, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia who want to learn something face to face — music, sports, art, trades, tutoring, cooking, and more.
How it works
Teachers post a free listing. Learners browse and reach out through the site. You two set up the lesson, time, place, and price yourselves.
What we don't do
We don't vet teachers or check their credentials, employ anyone, schedule lessons, or handle payments, and we take no cut. The board is for adults 18 and over. Meet safely and use your own judgment.
Why we built it
Good teachers are often just down the street, but hard to find. We wanted a simple place to connect neighbors who want to teach with neighbors who want to learn.
